Alan Shearer explains his selection of this Newcastle United trio

Alan Shearer has chosen the eleven players who most impressed him this past weekend in the top tier.

The player turned pundit naming his Premier League team of the week.

The NUFC legend including three who played pivotal roles at Craven Cottage against Fulham.

The Alan Shearer Premier League team of the week:

Martin Dubravka (Newcastle)
“Four saves, and he was calm and assured in Newcastle’s goal as they kept a much-needed clean sheet in the win at Fulham.”

Ben White (Arsenal)
“White showed why he’s been a key figure in Arsenal’s imperious backline by giving Brighton no joy down his side. He also put in some dangerous crosses.”

Fabian Schar (Newcastle)
“Shackled Rodrigo Muniz and won so many challenges, while he was unlucky that his goal was ruled out.”

Micky van de Ven (Spurs)
“What a strike from the Dutchman to restore Spurs’ lead just after half-time! Any striker would have been happy with that finish.”

Sergio Reguilon (Brentford)
“A threat all afternoon down Brentford’s left side and produced two brilliant assists.”

Kevin De Bruyne (Man City)
“He turned an awkward match for Man City into a fairly routine win with two superb goals. Right foot or left foot, he’s just so deadly.”

Bruno Guimaraes (Newcastle)
“Not a bad way to mark your 100th appearance for the club. He took his goal really well to seal an important three points.”

Jordan Clark (Luton)
“Clark produced a complete midfield performance and capped it off with a vital equaliser.”

Carlton Morris (Luton)
“The captain led by example, stepping up with the crucial late winner. He did brilliantly to get ahead of his marker and produce a fine finish.”

Kai Havertz (Arsenal)
“Ruthless again for Arsenal. He’s been incredible for them since the turn of the year and is now one of the first names on the teamsheet. He’s been an outstanding signing.”

Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa)
“While it was a poor result for Villa, he was such a handful for Brentford’s defence and showed excellent instincts for both goals.”

Manager: Mikel Arteta (Arsenal)
“Brighton had previously only lost one home match all season, but they couldn’t cope with Arsenal.”
