Manchester United fan Luke Littler hits the bullseye with Newcastle United

Luke Littler is the 16 year old who has taken darts by storm in recent months.

The teenager coming ever so close to winning the World Championships in January, only losing out in the final.

Now a wiser and older 17 year old, Luke Littler has hit the bullseye ahead of Fulham v Newcastle this afternoon…

Chris Sutton and darts players Luke Littler and Nathan Aspinall looking ahead to Newcastle United taking on Fulham – Talking to BBC Sport:

Chris Sutton:

“Newcastle’s inconsistency means they are turning into the new Chelsea – which is not a good thing for them, or for the sake of my predictions.

“Fulham have been up and down as well, but they are usually more reliable at home and the Magpies squad is still stretched by injuries and some of their players appear to be running on empty.

“Compared to last season, Newcastle’s defensive record is significantly worse this time – they conceded 33 goals in 38 games in 2022-23 but have already shipped 52 in 30 matches so far in this campaign.

“A lot of that is down to the fact their regular back five from last season, defenders Kieran Trippier, Dan Burn, Fabian Shar and Sven Botman plus their goalkeeper Nick Pope, have missed so many games this time.

“Those five players all started at least 35 league games last season, but there has been nothing like the same continuity in recent months.

“That’s a major reason why teams have been able to get at them, and I am expecting Fulham to do the same on Saturday.

“Prediction: Fulham 2 Newcastle 1”

Luke Littler:

“Rodrigo Muniz is in great form for Fulham but Alexander Isak and Harvey Barnes are playing really well for Newcastle.

“Prediction: Fulham 1 Newcastle 3”

Nathan Aspinall:

“I am going to go for another away win here.

“Newcastle are not in their best form at the moment, but my mate Chris Dobey (pictured above) is a Geordie so I am going to stick by him.

“Prediction: Fulham 2 Newcastle 3”

Both Nathan Aspinall and Luke Littler are Man U fans, though that hasn’t prevented them (hopefully) predicting the correct outcome at Craven Cottage later today.

As Luke Littler says, Alexander Isak and Harvey Barnes are in top form and the only reason Newcastle didn’t follow up that astonishing 4-3 victory over West Ham with another win, was because NUFC failed to convert numerous chances as they dominated the Everton match.

Newcastle United have scored 27 goals in their 11 Premier League matches this calendar year and before wasting all those chances on Tuesday, had only failed to score two or more goals on one occasion in the previous ten PL games, which was the one goal at Arsenal.

Those ten games included scoring two or more against Man City at home, as well as away at Liverpool, Chelsea and Villa.

Despite all those defenders on the injury list, Newcastle restricted Everton to just two efforts on target the entire game, until Dummett gave that daft penalty away.

If Schar, Burn and company can defend in similar fashion this afternoon, then I am confident that Newcastle United will score their usual 2+ goals and get the three points against Fulham.
