Official Newcastle United injury update on 4 players after 1-1 draw with Everton

A Newcastle United injury update followed the final whistle on Tuesday night.

The 1-1 draw with Everton then seeing Eddie Howe give some pointers towards Saturday’s availability against Fulham.

The Newcastle United Head Coach bringing some good news, saying it was simply ‘fatigue’ and not injury that forced Lewis Hall off to be replaced by Paul Dummett.

However, three others set to be missing at Craven Cottage.

Eddie Howe giving updates on a trio of players who missed Tuesday’s match.

Eddie Howe delivering Newcastle United injury update – 2 April 2024:

“When you have got the glut of games that we have.

“It (the number of missing players) is going to hurt us short-term.

“We think Miggy (Almiron) will be out around a month with a knee injury.

“Tino (Livramento) the same with an ankle injury.

“Kieran (Trippier) is not ready to play yet, so he definitely won’t be back for the Fulham game on Saturday.”

Good to know Lewis Hall should be available at Fulham and Anthony Gordon will return after his one match ban.

As well as the banned Sandro Tonali, it appears that Jamaal Lascelles, Nick Pope, Lewis Miley, Joelinton, Callum Wilson, Sven Botman, Kieran Trippier, Tino Livramento and Miguel Almiron will not feature due to injury.

Matt Targett missed tonight once again but no indication as to when / if he might return.

So bottom line, Saturday is likely to see available, at best, the squad that faced Everton plus Anthony Gordon.
